Sadie months 1&2

I wasn't planning on blogging about Sadie. Not because she doesn't deserve to be blogged about cause she does, I just didn't know if I would find the time and when I did if that is what I would want to do. But then I found myself reading a blog post about David when he was this age and him and Sadie had all these similarities that I forgot about. I thought they were much different babies. I want to remember Sadie the way she is, so here it goes

Month one
- Born Sept 23 at 4:59. Weighed 6.14
-  slept a lot on the couch. She could sleep there for hours, but move her to her bed and she would wake up way too soon
- Napped a lot like all babies should
- weighed about 8 lbs when she turned one month (birth weight 6.14)
- adored by her older siblings, especially David. He is always wanting to be beside her. Sometimes it was a little too much love as he would lay on her, saying he was giving her a hug.
- Slept 5 hours at night a few times. It was glorious
- Sadie was blessed when she was two weeks old
-Spent a week in the hospital as she had developed an infection soon after birth. That was sad. She had the worse veins. They had such a hard time giving her IVS and drawing her blood.
- We take a nap together almost every afternoon. She is a good cuddle bug
-You had jaundice as a baby and had to go under the lights twice. The sort of good news, you were already in the hospital receiving antibiotics for an infection, so it didn't put a kink in our lives.
- Such a stuffed up little baby. Needs a nose cleaning a few times a day.

Baby blessing day

Sweet beautiful girl.

First day home from the hospital. These two were so excited to hold her.

Sadie was there first, then David, and so of course Sienna couldn't be left out.

Morning snuggles

Month Two
- Getting to be a better night time sleeper, but not taking as long of naps
- Started to smile. It's the cutest thing.
- Loves to suck on her fingers.
- Sticks her tongue out lots.
- Weighs around 9 pounds.
- Got to meet Santa for the first time.
- Starting to make all those cute baby coo noises
- Slept for 9 hours. WAAAHHHOOO. I woke up feeling like a million bucks.
- Doesn't like a pacifier. But she falls asleep easily without one so I am not bothered...yet
- Gets loved and squished by David all the time. He just thinks she is the best, and also a play doll.

Over the river and through the woods to Grandma's house we go.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS. I loved Christmas growing up and I love it even more with kids. I love getting them presents and watching their faces when they open it, and are excited for about 2 seconds, before they want to open something else. This year we spent Christmas in Fresno California and we had such a great time. We got to see lots of cousins which was the best part of all. I was unsure what Sienna would be like with all of the cousins because on our last trip to North Carolina she was very clingy, whinny, and didn't really want anything to do with cousins. This year was much different to my relief! She loved playing with the oldest ones most. Namely Jacob, Joshie, and Jadyn.

This boy does not sleep well on planes. He had been up from 10:45 am till 9:45, without a nap. He wasn't too grumpy, but he sure wasn't pleasant to be with either.

Feeding the ducks was our favorite activity! We went about 5 times

Christmas morning! All the kids were looking over the banister to see all the presents and stockings full from Santa. What a magical time for kids! Sienna got her red puppy and red sucker. The funny girl, said she wanted a red puppy long after we had ordered this stuffed puppy. So she still refers to it as red puppy. If you ask her what color it is though she will tell you it's white and grey, with a little bit of black.

Parks are our happy place! We love them

Picnic with Emma on the kitchen floor cause there was no room at the table!

Seeing the lights at the zoo. It was such a rainy night. But I don't think it phased the kids one bit. They loved their umbrellas and had a great time.

This year Grandma Termeer did a manger instead of a tree. So when the kids did good things they got to put straw in it to make it cozy for Jesus. Christmas Eve we put Jesus in the manger and Sienna was so tender about it.

Looking at the lights on Candy Cane Lane

My sister and law came up with her kids. We got such a great fill of cousins. They were only here for a day so we tried to cram as much goodness into one day as we could. We went to the zoo, then to the park to feed ducks, and finished the day with Cafe Rio. It was such a great day. Sienna loved being with Jadyn and followed her around and wanted to be like her. Jadyn was wearing a dress so she needed to be wearing one. Jadyn had her hair down so she needed her hair down. And because I have been working on this post for 3 months now I am just going to end here other wise I might never publish it.

Sweet Sienna

Poor Sienna has just been neglected on my blog since David came. So I wanted to do a little update about her and post a ton of pictures to go with it.
Sienna is hilarious. This girl is full of personality. I can't wait for her to talk more cause I am pretty sure she will have some funny things to say.

Some of the funny things she does say

- She was saying the prayer and all by her self she says "Dear Heavenly Father, we thank thee for, five, six....AMEN!
- At the grocery store she grabs lucky charms and some frozen olaf cookies and says "Mom we NEED this" and then chases after me trying to put it in the cart saying over and over we need this.
- come out of her room in the morning "mom, Sienna eye. Go Doctor. Sienna eye bleeding. Go Doctor" there was nothing wrong with her eye. Don't know if she just had a dream about it?
-"Mama are you sad?" Then proceeds to sing, "I am a child of God, and he makes mama happy"
- Dad: Sit down young lady. Sienna: Dad I am not a young lady, I'm a big girl
- Me: I love you sienna. Sienna: I love mama and Olaf

And just random things about Sienna
- If David is sad she will sing I am a child of God, or a song I made up about him.
- Loves singing songs. She is getting good at remembering them.
- Always asking me, whats that, what did you say mama (we both repeat each other about 5 times before I just tell her to forget it), what are you doing, and why. So annoying but so cute.
- She is generally very sweet and concerned if you are happy or sad and she does not like it when you are sad!
- Loves playing with her best friends Ivy, Bria, and Fynnly.
- was obsessed with frozen when I started this post. Now obsessed with paw patrol.
- Loves to put on my pretties (lipstick)

She did not want to take these pajama's off. We got to the pool managed to strip them off of her, she took a dip in the water and then wanted them back on. Silly girl.

Sometimes you just need to wear a helmet all the time.

Addicted to bandaids. Like every kid.

Playing at Wally's beach

Seriously, this girl is too cool for you.

Nothing is better then Costco hot dogs to this girl.

We had fun in the leaves and finding lady bugs in them

Last year sienna did not like the pumpkin guts. This year she loved them!

She cannot stay away from make up. She is constantly sneaking into mine.

Scones with powdered sugar and cheese. Why not?

Phase where she liked to eat yogurt with an ice cream spoon.

She seriously cracks me up

Best swing ever!
At least someone can enjoy the snow....

We love this girl and there is so much more I could say about her but I have been writing this post for the last 4 months so I just wanted it done.
